the art of photoshop

I don't think I'm a very good photographer. But I try to make up for it with my Photoshop skills, as you can see here. The image on the left was taken on an overcast day while it was raining, so the conditions were hardly perfect. Plus it's winter and the trees are leafless and dull and so on. Still, I do believe that a better photographer would have been able to accomplish a better photo. As it is, I made up for it by using Photoshop to to make the photo more appealing (and to clone out that spot of dust).

Good work, the processed image is quite better. In my opinion the overall brightness could have been a bit lighter (not much). Maybe you can try to light up the gras (selection with a 30-50px feather, and then use curves).

remember that you can't make something out of nothing, you have everything right for the photo, composition, texture, subject.

the only thing missing was the light and if that's all you use photoshop for then you are a very good photographer :)

sometimes i see things and think that would make a great photo, and you set the atmosphere in your head. unfortunately sometimes the camera doesn't see as beautifully as our own eyes and i guess that's the enjoyment in photography; being able to capture the real beauty of the world

i'm ranting
